Small Plates RESTART & NEW Pintxos Hour at Small Plates 2024

Our exciting news for this spring is that we are restarting Small Plates with a new menu that has some brand new dishes on, and some old favourites – take a look at it on this page.

PLUS we're launching Ludlow's first Pintxos Hour, from 5pm on Saturdays only. Please note: While Pintxos Hour is casual drop in, we recommend booking for Small Plates as we get busy, see dates below.

Pintxos are delightful little snacks of deliciousness found in the bars and restaurants of north-western Spain, in the Basque country around San Sebastian. Pintxos, from the Basque language, also known in Spanish as pinchos, are typically tasty morsels piled high on bread, secured with a toothpick, served to accompany a drink as a casual nibble.

Although inspired by our visits to the Basque country, alongside some iconic Spanish ingredients we use the best local market produce in our changing menu, for a decidedly local twist. Pintxos can be fish, meat, dairy or plant based and, as usual at appleTeme we are offering both vegetarian and vegan options.

So if you fancy a taste of Spain on a late Saturday afternoon, wander down to appleTeme and choose some of our savoury treats, perhaps with one of our range of food-friendly Belgian beers, or even go the full Iberian and choose a Vermut or Sherry aperitivo!

• Friday 3rd - Small Plates from 6pm (please book ahead)
• Saturday 4th - Pintxos Hour from 5pm (just drop in) & Small Plates from 6pm (please book ahead)
• Friday 17th - Small Plates from 6pm (please book ahead)
• Saturday 18th - Pintxos Hour from 5pm (just drop in) & Small Plates from 6pm (please book ahead)

How to book

There are limited bookings available inside for Small Plates, though we can offer seats outside closer to the time if the weather is clement. Small Plates evenings start from 6pm, please email on tish@appleteme.com for reservations.

Where to find us

All our events take place at our appleTeme HQ in an atmospheric historic maltings at the Old Brewery, in Ludlow.

It has flat level access into the main area. Unfortunately, for the moment, some areas are not accessible and there is no accessible toilet. Sorry.
