Suminagashi (Japanese paper marbling) - Saturday 3rd August  10am - 4pm    £85

The art of suminagashi, the ancient Japanese form of paper marbling, is compelling and intriguing in equal part. Dating back to the Heian period of Japan (794-1185) its origins are unclear, the patterns being used to embellish calligraphy in poetry anthologies.

Learning and playing with the process of suminagashi allows your creativity to flow as you make beautiful designs, each one completely different to the next one. Being a meditative process, you may well be surprised at how immersed you become in the activity: A truly mindful practice.

Contact Sarah Ahamatt if you have any further questions: sarahamatt7@gmail.com Tickets available through Eventbrite.
